ACADEMIC ADVISING

Carmen's pictureAdvising appointments are available for meetings via In-Person or Zoom. Visit the Student Success Hub to schedule an appointment with Carmen (you can see your assigned advisor in MyRED or the Student Success Hub). If scheduling an online zoom meeting, the instructions for connecting to the Zoom meeting are in your appointment confirmation email sent to your huskers.unl.edu email account.

Drop-In Advising

Drop-in advising is great for short questions about course information, grade option, completing forms and other things of that nature. Students should schedule an academic advising appointment to discuss degree plans and goal setting. Drop-in advising is available via zoom only, you will enter the Zoom waiting room at https://unl.zoom.us/my/casadvising and be seen in the order you entered.

FALL 2024 ACADEMIC CALENDAR

September 2 (Mon.) Labor Day (Student and Staff Holiday-UNL offices closed)
September 3 (Tues.) Last day for full semester course registrations (Census Date)
September 3 (Tues.) Last day to drop a full semester course and receive 100% refund
September 6 (Fri.) Last day to drop a full semester course and receive 75% refund
September 6 (Fri.) Last day to file a drop to remove a full semester course from student’s record
September 7 (Sat.) – November 15 (Fri.) All course withdrawals noted with a grade of “W” on academic record
September 12 (Thurs.) Last day to submit tuition and fees payment without penalty
September 13 (Fri.) Last day to withdraw from a full semester course and receive 50% refund
September 13 (Fri.) Final day to apply for a degree in December ($25.00 fee due with application)
September 20 (Fri.) Last day to withdraw from a full semester course and receive 25% refund
October 18 (Fri.) Last day to change a full semester course registration to or from “Pass/No Pass”

COMM Center Peer-Mentors Needed

COMM Seeking InternsCOMM is recruiting undergraduate students to become interns or volunteer as peer mentors for the COMM Center this semester (Fall 2024). We are interested in working with students who enjoy working with others and have taken any of the following ACE courses: COMM 101, 209, or 286. UNL Career Services Information

The Micro-Internship and Mentorship Program is now accepting applications. This program is ideal for students with no previous internship experience, and offers PAID, structured opportunities with interesting organizations like Habitat for Humanity, the Food Bank of Lincoln, the Sunday Farmers Market at College View, Cultural Centers of Lincoln, and more. Applications are due Sept. 6th. No resume needed!

The Fall 2024 Career Development Scholarship Challenge opens on Friday, August 23rd. Complete career development tasks, win monthly prizes, and be eligible to receive a $2,000 scholarship.
