This September, the world came to Grand Island. Thirty Cultural Ambassadors representing 19 countries joined the Nebraska State Fair for From Around the World to Nebraska, sharing their cultures through traditional clothing, artifacts, music, dance, storytelling and conversations with Fair visitors.

More than a cultural showcase, the day was about building bridges between Nebraska and the world. International students also explored Grand Island, including visits to Stuhr Museum and the Grand Island Police Department, making the experience a true two-way cultural exchange.

A powerful reminder that education reaches far beyond the classroom: UNL brings the world to Nebraska, and Nebraska gives the world something to take home.
