Message from School Director, Francisco Souto
Dear Students,
I hope this e-mail finds you all well and in good spirits!!!
As we enter the final days of the semester, I am sure we are all looking forward to a relaxing and refreshing winter break and a wonderful -but different- Thanksgiving dinner! As we all know, COVID cases are continuing to rise, so I encourage you to wear a mask, keep the social distance, and wash your hands to keep yourselves and our community healthy.
COVID-19 TESTING
The University is expanding access to COVID-19 testing as the campus community prepares for the end of the fall semester. Starting Nov. 16, any member of the campus community can receive a free COVID-19 test at either of the university’s testing locations. To participate you must schedule an appointment ahead of time through their online reservation system. I hope you take advantage of this opportunity before you prepare to return home.
The testing sites will allow for both walk-up and drive-through testing. Register for an appointment at the East Stadium Loop or 17th and R Street sites here.
BUILDING HOURS DURING WINTER BREAK
As of now, we are planning for Richards Hall and Woods Art Building to remain open after Thanksgiving and through the break. Students will have access during normal building hours, daily from 7am-10pm. Please note that all UNL buildings will be closed during the holiday shut-down between Dec. 24 and January 4.
Thank you for all your efforts this fall; your continued diligence following the university mitigation protocols has led to a successful in-person semester.
Best of luck on the remainder of the semester and good luck on finals!
All my best,
Francisco
