From Nov. 21-23, the Center for People In Need will be hosting Giving ThanksGiving, an event where food donations and gift certificates to grocery stores are distributed so low-income families can enjoy holiday traditions. On Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 7PM, Dr. Jennifer Francis, Research Professor at Rutgers University will be giving a free public lecture exploring the connections between extreme weather patterns and the warming Arctic. The lecture will take place in the Nebraska Innovation Campus auditorium.
Lincoln Literacy is a local non-profit that teaches adults to read and write in English. The Scrabble Scramble Tournament is an annual fundraiser in the fall that raises money to serve their English learners. The tournament will take place Nov. 8 from 1-5.
