New focus will enable School of Computing to have greater impact

The School of Computing, formerly the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering and now fully housed in the College of Engineering, will “raise the profile and reputation of the university in computing and enable the college to compete for student and faculty talent,” said Dean Lance C. Pérez.

Three category winners chosen for annual COE Soup-Off

Congratulations to the category winners at the annual COE Soup-Off on Friday, Nov. 12 in Othmer Hall:

*People’s Choice – Mikayla Cruickshank (Thai Chicken Noodle)

*Most Unique – Jena Shafai Asgarpoor (Lentil)

*Spiciest – Marc Myers (Chilly)

Participants sought for in-person UAV evaluation

Participants are needed for a study that evaluates unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology. The study will take about 90 minutes at the Schorr Center and is open to anyone 19 or older. Sign up by sending an email to: mUAV.study@gmail.com. Participants are eligible to receive compensation of $15.
