By the MTEP Strategic Planning Team
As MTEP’s current funding comes to an end, we are planning how to keep moving the important work of the network forward. The good news is, the MTEP community is continuing!
First, it will continue through your efforts to maintain the work your MTEP 2.0 teams have been doing—especially your school partnerships and the relationships that have been central to MTEP.
Second, our plans for the next chapter of the network include continuing to support your work, particularly sustaining the professional connections among the MTEP teams that so many of you value. We highlight a few areas where work is already underway:
- We are launching an AMTE Community Circle, which will meet in October and December 2026, and in person at the 2027 AMTE Conference. Details to follow.
- Sustainable Pathways is a group of MTEP members studying the varying pathways to certification. Their goal is to do a deep dive into the practices and challenges of alternative pathways and how they can leverage opportunities. If you would like to participate in this group, please email Dana Franz at df76@msstate.edu.
- If you are interested in exploring or contributing to grant-writing opportunities related to the next phase of MTEP, please reach out to Jeff Hovermill at jeff.hovermill@nau.edu.
