Nebraska's Chief Medical Officer to speak at AMSA, Oct 4

Dr. Schaefer will speak in Room 212 of the Gaughan multicultural center on Tuesday, October 4th at 5:30pm.The American Medical Student Association is proud to host Dr. Joann Schaefer, Nebraska's acting CMO, at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at in the Gaughan Multicultural Center, Unity 212. Schaefer will speak about general trends in public health and give advice to potential doctors. Q&A to follow; free cookies.

 

Educational Technology Expert to Speak Oct. 3

Cathy Cavanaugh, Associate Professor, University of FloridaCathy Cavanaugh, associate professor of educational technology at the University of Florida, will present "Evidence-Based Practices for Online Teacher Professional Development" from 3:30-5 p.m., Oct. 3 in Room 212 of the Nebraska Union's Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center.

Car Smash to benefit TeamMates

Circle K International is hosting a car smash during the Nebraska/Ohio State football game from 2 to 7 p.m. Oct. 8 in the Nebraska Union Plaza. This is a a fundraiser in which a portion of the proceeds will be donated to TeamMates. $1 per hit.
