The work of Lincoln, Neb., native and artist Shelley Thornton is currently on exhibit in the Robert Hillestad Textiles Gallery on UNL's East Campus through September 6. Thornton began working in textiles in the early 1990s. Today, she is one of the leading dollmakers working in the U.S.

Angels Theatre Company (ATC) will present its fifth annual First Flight Festival from July 17 through 28 at UNL’s Studio Theatre at the Temple Building, 12th and R streets.
