For those of you who will register for the term 1 course “Songs and Artists: A Century of Recorded Pop Music,” the fee is $25 not $30 as indicated in the catalog. The course was originally set for six weeks, but a session had to be dropped. The correct fee will display when registering online.
The League of Women Voters of Lincoln-Lancaster County has joined OLLI and Global Perspectives: The Winter Lecture Series as a sponsor for the October symposium “Celebrating the 19th Amendment: Women’s Rights Here and Abroad.” The symposium is on Saturday, Oct 19. Registrations starts August 20.

Beginning this fall, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic will offer specialized speech therapy to individuals with Parkinson's disease. The program will help those with the disease preserve their speech and voice.

The Great Plains Art Museum’s opening reception for “Hills Snyder: Altered States,” takes place on Friday, August 2, 5-7 p.m. The exhibition of drawings is based on travels by the artist to Great Plains locales such as Nowhere, Oklahoma; Happy, Texas; and Lost Springs, Wyoming. Continue reading…
