A gallery exhibit features photographs of the Platte River Basin and the artists’ connections with the landscape.
“Platte Passages: Shared Stories from our Home Watershed” will be on display from Aug. 7 to Aug. 30 at WallSpace-LNK, an art gallery in Lincoln.
The exhibit features the work of Platte Basin Timelapse producers Dakota Altman, Ethan Freese, Mariah Lundgren, Carlee Moates and Grant Reiner. A collection of 42 images depict their Platte Basin explorations and are accompanied by written reflections.
PBT uses timelapse photography and multimedia storytelling to support conservation efforts in the Platte Basin. Conservation photographer Michael Forsberg and former Nebraska Public Media producer Michael Farrell founded the organization in 2011.
Platte Passages is supported by The Nebraska Arts Council, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment and the National Endowment for the Arts. Contributors to WallSpace for Artists and Audiences and Give to Lincoln Day provide additional funding for the gallery.
