Webinar on immigration updates affecting UNL’s international community is July 23

All UNL students, faculty and staff are invited to a webinar about Fall 2020 immigration guidance from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 23: “Understanding the Latest Developments Affecting UNL's International Students, Scholars and Employees.” Hosted by the International Student and Scholar Office (ISSO), panelists will answer general questions related to recent developments submitted in advance via the registration form.

Local immigration attorneys David Zaritsky Brown from Brown Immigration Law PC, LLO and Stephanie Grattan from Koley Jessen PC, LLO will provide insights on the recent executive orders, proclamations and guidance from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Panelists will not be able to answer case-specific questions during the webinar, but will welcome general immigration questions relating to UNL’s international community. Individuals with case-specific questions should email ISSO at isso@unl.edu.

The session will be moderated by associate vice chancellor for global affairs, Josh Davis. Karen Cagley, director of ISSO, and Tim Carr, associate vice chancellor and dean of graduate education, will also be panelists.
