Meet Near-Peer STEM Discovery Interns

Three interns are serving as Near-Peer STEM Discovery Interns through a collaboration with Nebraska Extension 4-H Youth Development and identified 21st Century Community Learning Center (CLC) sites. The interns will create new educational programs to engage youth during out-of-school time at CLCs and other educational 4-H programs.

• Matthan Sigowa is from Lincoln and is new to 4-H. He is an upcoming junior at UNL majoring in Biological Sciences and minoring in Biochemistry and Psychology.

• William Carbino is from Lake Helen, FL and was a Volusia County, Florida 4-H'er for five years. He is an upcoming senior at UNL majoring in Agriculture Communications with a minor in Animal Science.

• Taylor Sorensen is from Fremont, NE and briefly participated in 4-H in Valley County. She is an upcoming senior at UNL majoring in Psychology and minoring in Biochemistry.
