The OmniSOC Internship program is a six-week internship focused on Security Operation Center (SOC) functions, security analysis, and platform engineering. Students will have the opportunity to focus on incident response, event monitoring, malware analysis on Linux systems, network architecture, automated detection, threat hunting, SIEM environments, and ELK stack engineering. The program includes lessons from the FBI, Elastic, and Anthem Health, hands on labs, and a small capstone project at the students' campus.
Dates:
June 20th – July 7th at IU campus in Bloomington, Indiana
July 10th – July 28th at student’s home campus (UNK, UNL, UNO)
Paid Internship includes:
$20/Hr. @ 25 hours per week
Travel, transportation, lodging, & meals paid for 3 weeks at IU
Ideal applicants have basic understanding in Linux and scripting languages, US citizenship (see below), excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic to partner on projects
Eligibility:
Graduate and Undergraduate students. A total of three students will be selected from all NU applicants.
