No handshake, now what? How to successfully network in virtual situations:
1. Be prepared – who will be at the event, who are you wanting to connect with, what’s something about the organization, have a few questions in mind.
2. Be Professional – Video on, be present. Don’t show up in a t-shirt, don’t have your roommates walking in the background.
3. Be curious – “to be interesting, be interested” be you, share your story, listen, ask questions.
4. Follow up - connect on LinkedIn add a note, ask to meet again, or send a handwritten thank you note.
