Employer Tip of The Week - Internship Search | Ameritas
Every week the Business Career Center Newsletter will share advice from employers. Check out what advice employer Ameritas has to say about the internship search.
Do your research about the position and the company. This is a very important part of the internship search process as it gives you the opportunity to determine if the position is going to be the best opportunity to develop you personally and professionally. Another benefit of doing your research is it can help you stand out during the application and recruitment process. By doing your research you are able to tailor your resume to the job description pointing out specific skills you may possess that can be beneficial in the internship. Many employers also like to know that the candidate they are hiring is knowledgeable about the company as a whole. Doing research and incorporating information that you like about the company can also have a positive impact on the recruitment process.
The Business Career Center would like to thank all of the employers who have hosted an Employer In Residence session this semester. We look forward to another great semester in the Spring!
