Critical Considerations in Manuscript Writing Workshop

You are invited to register for the Critical Considerations in Manuscript Writing workshop on June 27, from noon to 4 p.m., in the Goodding Learning Center, 280 Plant Sciences Hall, East Campus. Postdocs who feel they may benefit from the material are also welcome to attend.

Faculty are kindly asked to share this information with interested graduate students and postdocs.

Register at https://go.unl.edu/write

Early Registration Closes: June 17 (spot in the workshop guaranteed)

Registration Closes: June 20

Lunch will be served at noon.

This workshop will cover the most important ideas to consider when writing any scientific manuscript. Participants will learn the principles of distilling their scientific message, broadly structuring a manuscript, and evaluating published articles for writing quality rather than just the quality of the science.

The workshop will be of special interest to those who have not started writing their manuscript or are at the beginning stages of writing. All skill levels are welcome, and participants are encouraged to bring their work to share with others for feedback.

This event is sponsored by the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture and will be presented by Christine Booth of the IANR Science Communication Hub. We hope to see a strong representation of Agronomy and Horticulture graduate students.
