Civil Engineering Duo Invents Software to Detect Structural Damage

Dr. Richard Wood and Ebrahim Mohammadi's development of structural damage detection software was featured in an article from the UNL Office of Research and Economic Development.

Their software allows for safer assessment of damage after natural disasters, and they are working with NUtech Ventures to find commercial partners.

He competed with top contenders from prestigious schools worldwide, including Ohio State University, Columbia University, Harbin Institute of Technology, University of Maryland, Clemson University, University of CalifornPhD student Binyam Bekele earned second place at a student paper competition organized by the ASCE Modeling Inelasticity & Multiscale Behavior committee at the 2018 Engineering Mechanics Institute Conference.
