The Smart Big Data Pipeline for Aging Rural Bridge Transportation Infrastructure (SMARTI), a partnership between UNO IS&T and Nebraska Engineering, will help standardize data about aging rural bridges. Drs. Daniel Linzell and Chungwook Sim are co-investigators on the project.

Clean Water Science Network Mentors Needed
The Clean Water Science Network (http://www.cleanwaterscience.org/) is seeking mentors for their 2018/2019 cohort of mentees. The time commitment is expected to include a 30 minute webinar once a month for 8 months and a few hours each month of email/text/video chat, one on one with your mentee. As a mentor, you will help your mentee complete assignments/tasks that have been designed to teach the mentee about water/sanitation research and prepare them for graduate school. HDR Graduate Scholarships
HDR is awarding scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 to students that are, or will be, enrolled in graduate programs. In addition to these scholarships, the awardees are also offered a guaranteed paid internship.
The College of Business is sponsoring a GMAT Strategy Workshop on October 27, 2018, from 8 a.m.-3:00 p.m. in HLH 202. This workshop will be helpful to students who are considering applying to graduate school in a business program.
