NRES 489/898: Python Programming in Remote Sensing of Natural and Water Resources

This three credit course will be held in Hardin Hall 141 on Thursdays from 11:00 am – 1:50 pm. The intent of the course is to introduce students to coding in Python and familiarity with using spatial tools with Python to access, handle and process spatial information.

The course can be taken by any student having some prior introduction to Remote Sensing and GIS (see prerequisites) because that will be the application area. No prior experience in Python is necessary. Some prior experience in fundamentals of computer programming and code development will be helpful.
