Working with Kuraray America and Raven Industries, Dr. Jongwan Eun's research team recently installed a prototype geomembrane landfill cover at the Butler County landfill. The cover blankets a 100,000 square foot area of the landfill.
Dr. Eun's research team will evaluate the landfill's odor and environmental effects over the next two years with the geomembrane cover. The research is funded by a grant from the Nebraska Environmental Trust.
