Congratulations to Kelsey Heffner for earning the Undergraduate Major Award in Civil Engineering! The award recognizes her outstanding academic achievement and contributions to the university. She'll be honored at the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Student Honors Convocation in April.

New publications from Drs. Li, Zhang, and Steelman

Dr. Xu Li is the co-author of "The fate and enhanced removal of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in wastewater and sludge treatment system: A review", published in 'Critical Reviews in Environmental Science and Technology'.

Dr. Tian Zhang is the co-author of "Comparative adsorption of emerging contaminants in water by functional designed magnetic poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)/chitosan hydrogels", published in 'Science of The Total Environment'.

Dr. Joshua Steelman is the co-author of "Using Committees of Artificial Neural Networks with Finite Element Modeling for Steel Girder Bridge Load Rating Estimation", published in 'Journal of Bridge Engineering', and co-author of "Nonlinear Flexural Distribution Behavior and Ultimate System Capacity of Skewed Steel Girder Bridges", published in 'Engineering Structures'.
