The Lancaster County Super Fair will be here soon. We are sure everyone participating in it have worked hard and are excited about the event. This is a good time to remind everyone of the Nebraska 4-H Code of Conduct for youth and adults. Please read and keep it in mind when participating in 4-H.

The 4-H food stand at the Lancaster County Super Fair is 4-H Council’s primary fundraiser. 4-H Council asks clubs and independent members to help by staffing a shift at the 4-H food stand. Help raise money for 4-H and have fun!

4-H Council is offering a $500 Alumni Scholarship. Applicants must be a Lancaster County 4-H alumni at least one year post high school and currently enrolled in accredited college, university of community college.

New this year, Nebraska 4-H is presenting at state Video Cat Showmanship Contest for youth ages 10-18. Lancaster County 4-H staff will record videos on Thursday, Aug. 3 after the 4-H Cat Show at the Lancaster County Super Fair. Contact Kate or Ivy before fair at 402-441-7180 or at cat check-in.

At the Super Fair, 4-H static exhibits will be selected for the Nebraska State Fair by the judges in the respective areas. A state fair sticker will be placed on all exhibits selected for state fair. 4-H members with qualifying static exhibits will receive information in the mail after Super Fair.
The 2017 AKSARBEN entry process will be an online entry process ONLY. Extension staff will NOT be accepting entries at the Super Fair as in previous years. Continue reading…
