Another Nebraska State Fair is wrapped up. As usual, 4-H exhibitors showcased their hard work and earned much-deserved recognition! Final results and photos of static exhibits and the fashion show are online.
NEW 4-H Council Alumni Scholarship, Deadline Sept. 30
Lancaster County 4-H Council is sponsoring a new $500 4-H alumni scholarship. Scholarship eligibility requirements include:
• Currently enrolled in accredited college, university or community college.
• Continued involvement in the 4-H program in Lancaster County as a leader or volunteer.
Household Pets Fest, Sept. 30
A 4-H Household Pets Fest will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, 9 a.m.-Noon at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Road, Lincoln. Bring your small critter or just come for info & fun! This event will include guest speakers, animal bingo, a raffle and more.
4-H Council Golf Tournament Fundraiser, Oct. 1
A 4-H Council Golf Tournament Fundraiser will be held Sunday, Oct. 1 at the Woodland Hills Golf Course, Eagle. 1 p.m. shotgun start. This tournament is a four-person scramble and costs $80 per golfer or $320 per team. Continue reading…
Rabbit Clinic, Oct. 21
A FREE 4-H Rabbit Clinic will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, 9 a.m.–noon at the Lancaster Extension Education Center, 444 Cherrycreek Road, Lincoln. Open to all youth and families. This is a great opportunity to learn about the 4-H Rabbit program, which is open to all youth ages 8–18. Continue reading…

UNL Animal Science Open House, Oct. 23
Did you know you could attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and get a degree focused on companion animals, horses or livestock? The Department of Animal Science is hosting its annual Open House for middle and high school student on Monday, Oct. 23, 6-8 p.m. No cost to attend.
