The University of Nebraska State Museum’s January Sunday with a Scientist program for children and families will explore snakes of Nebraska’s Great Plains live and up-close. The event is Sunday, Jan. 21 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Morrill Hall, 645 N. 14th St. (south of 14th and Vine Streets).
Any Lancaster County 4-H’er may participate in the horse incentive program and earn points by participating in horse-related activities. The more points you earn, the more valuable the reward! New Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (formerly Quality Assurance) requirements have been expanded to include ALL livestock exhibitors (not just those showing market animals). 4-H Livestock ID/Ownership requirements for showing at State Fair and/or AKSARBEN Stock Show have changed for 2018.
The Nebraska 4-H Diamond Clover program consists of six levels in which 4-H'ers plan and report a broad range of age-appropriate accomplishments. Now is a good time for 4-H'ers to plan their goals for next year!

The purpose of the Nebraska 4-H Foundation’s Governor’s Agricultural Excellence Awards, sponsored by the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA) is to recognize 4-H clubs for the work of the individuals in the club and the community service work of the entire club. Forms are due by March 2.
