Anjeza Erickson joined BSE as the Industrial Agricultural Products Center (IAPC) lab manager Sept. 1.
"As a research lab manager for IAPC, I look forward to working in such a great department," Erickson said. "I hope to facilitate IAPC’s growth and make a significant impact in their research projects. I am thrilled to learn new techniques relating to the bio-systems engineering field and bring more exposure and collaborations to IAPC."
Erickson served the past five years as a Research Technologist II in the Nutrition and Health Science Department, working on molecular manipulation of food bioactive compounds to discover their relation to metabolism and obesity. Prior to that, she was a Research Technologist I at UNMC College of Dentistry for four years.
Erickson was born in Albania but has called Nebraska home since 2002. She enjoys camping, cooking, walking and spending time with her husband, daughter and dog.
