Next time you see Donna Hahn, business manager for the East Campus CEHS Business Team, tell her congratulations for receiving the Carl A. Donaldson Award for Excellence in Management from the University Association for Administrative Development. Hahn received the award Feb. 19 at a UAAD luncheon.

“She is the one stop shop whenever the chairs have questions regarding finances and often times even non-financial issues,” said CEHS Assistant Dean of Business Operations Dori Smidt. “She is a wealth of historical information due to her history with the college. Donna is more than qualified to receive this award.”

Hahn has been business manager since 2010, but has worked at UNL since 1980. From 1980-2010 she held several positions in the Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences and continues to teach nutrition courses through distance education. She earned her bachelor's degree in nutrition from UNL in 1978 and her master's degree in nutrition from UNL in 1984.

Hahn is a lifelong Lincoln resident. She is married, has one daughter and two grandsons (ages 5 and 1). Her hobbies include reading, walking, landscaping around her home, and visiting the grandchildren.

UAAD established the annual award for excellence in management in 1972, named for UAAD founder Carl A. Donaldson. A graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Donaldson devoted his entire 43-year professional career to University service. The award promotes the purposes of UAAD and recognizes UNL employees who demonstrate outstanding skills in management.
