Ali Moeller, Edith S. Greer professor in Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education, has been elected to the board of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). She began her three-year term Jan. 1 as an at-large member along with Juan Carlos Morales of the Delaware Department of Education.
Moeller is also president of the National Federation of Modern Languages Teachers Associations (NFMLTA). She directs an online graduate MA program in German language, culture and pedagogy (GOLDEN: German Online Distance Education Network) that provides graduate work tailored specifically for K-12 German teachers. She previously taught German in public schools for 11 years, and served as President of the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) from 1988-1989.
