Seminars by Sports and Exercise Nutrition Candidates

Two candidates are interviewing for a position in Sports and Exercise Nutrition next week. Their seminars are open to all interested faculty and staff.

Dr. Karsten Koehler received his MS in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Hohenheim, Germany and his doctorate at the German Sports University in Cologne, Germany. His primary research interest is to understand and characterize metabolic adaptations to energy deficiency and their implications for health and performance. He is currently a Research Associate in the Department of Kinesiology at Penn State.

Jamie Cooper received her BS and MS degrees in Kinesiology from Michigan State. She completed her PhD in Nutritional Sciences from UW-Madison. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Texas Tech in the Department of Nutritional Sciences. Her primary research interest include metabolism and satiety as it relates to human obesity.
