STAFF STAR AWARD!
On behalf of the Staff Council we would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to Kelsey Sims, office associate in the Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies, for being selected as the August recipient of our Staff Star Award!! Some of the things Kelsey’s nominators said about her are:
· Kelsey’s work is beyond expectations. She is dependable, reliable and valuable. Besides her own responsibilities, she has also been covering the responsibilities of a staff member that had been on medical leave and another staff member who retired.
· Along with going above and beyond the call of duty, Kelsey is the face of the CYAF office and the go to person for our faculty and students. She is always trying to find ways to help faculty, staff, and students. She is very personable and comfortable talking to and helping anyone who comes into our office.
· Kelsey earnestly tries her best when there is a question that arises, including making however many phone calls she needs to get her answer. She is an excellent problem-solver and is tenacious, along with a good sense of humor---what a great combination.
So, if you get a chance, stop by room 135 in Mabel Lee Hall and congratulate Kelsey. She is very deserving of this award!
