The world’s best speed skaters spend years of hard work and dedication developing and perfecting their skills. Are their talents the result of genetic favor or developed in a special environment? A recently published research article on talent development by University of Nebraska–Lincoln graduate student Carol Ott Schacht and Educational Psychology professor Ken Kiewra suggests their success was developed not born.
