University of Nebraska Office Professionals Association

The University of Nebraska Office Professionals Association (UNOPA) would like to welcome any staff who are interested in UNOPA, or any of the upcoming events provided by UNOPA, to please join us. Below is a list of upcoming events this semester. · February 13th: UNOPA General Meeting and Brown Bag Luncheon, 11:30am-1:00pm. Dr. Karen Kassebaum, Director of Staff Diversity and Inclusion will present “OUCH! That Stereotype HURTS!”, a program that is a system wide requirement of the University of Nebraska. All four campuses, including the leadership teams, have participated in this video-based training. If you are interested, please contact Kelsey Sims for registration details.
· February 20th: Jan Deeds will present Bystander Intervention at the Nebraska Union. This will take place over the lunch, 11:30am-1:00pm. More details to follow.
· March 13th: UNOPA General Meeting and Brown Bag Luncheon in the Nebraska Union Heritage Room 11:30am-1:00pm. The topic of this meeting is Social Media, and the guest speaker is Gary Kebbel.
· March 19th: Scott Stemper from Region V Systems will give a presentation on Suicide Prevention. This brown bag workshop will be held over lunch (11:30am-1:00pm) at the Nebraska East Union. More details to follow.
