WHERE YOU WILL TEACH
You will have the opportunity to partner with students and families in one of 53 regions across the nation, and can make a profound impact with students across a multitude of subjects from pre-K through grade 12.

After being admitted, you will have the opportunity to research and select your preferred regions. During your research you’ll re ect on the features most important to you in a region, compare regional factors (such as cost of living, master’s degree options, and more), and build a strong list of regions that are a great fit for you.

As a corps member, you will be employed by a school district and receive the same salary, vacation, and comprehensive health bene ts as other beginning teachers. Additional financial benefits from TFA may be available to help you transition to your new role.

As a corps member, you will have access to an unparalleled resource and support network that will help you go beyond traditional expectations to accelerate the academic and personal growth of your students. Each region chooses the scope and length of summer training, induction, and orientation for its corps members. You will learn about the details of your specific training program after you are admitted to the corps.

HOW TO APPLY
You can apply online to Teach For America by one of five application deadlines. Throughout the rigorous interview process, you will have the opportunity to learn more about TFA’s unique impact and to network with fellow applicants, TFA staff members, and alumni. Applications are non-binding.

Prerequisites:
⊲ Bachelor’s degree by June 2018 with a 2.5 minimum undergraduate GPA**
⊲ U.S. citizenship, national/permanent resident status, or recipient of DACA

We partner with communities and school districts across the country to determine how many corps members are needed nationally each year. Because these figures change every year, you must apply on or before January 26 to be eligible for all 53 partner regions. If you apply at the nal deadline, we cannot guarantee the availability of all regions.
