State of the Practice events at Firespring, Spreetail this week

Four companies will host two State of the Practice events for CSE students this week. Firespring and Ameritas will host a an event on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Spreetail will also host an event on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. with Pen-Link.

Students interested in learning about job or internship opportunities at any of the companies should attend. The State of the Practice events are designed to provide computing and software engineering students the chance to explore organizations and available jobs in a relaxed setting. Each event includes a free dinner, a tour of the hosting office, and an opportunity for students to have casual conversations with employees.

There will also be two more State of the Practice events coming up next week with Hudl and opendorse on Wednesday, and Sandhills and Assurity on Thursday.

Transportation will not be provided to this week's events, and students will need to drive themselves or find a ride. Directions are listed in each Facebook and EventBrite event.

These events are free, but students who plan to attend should RSVP by ordering a ticket via Facebook or EventBrite so companies can provide plenty of free food and swag.
