Professor Chi Zhang at the School of Biological Sciences is looking for an our CSE undergraduate student for his research project.

Position Type: Part-time

Position title: Undergraduate research assistant in bioinformatics programming

Job Description: Primary duties will be not limited to: assisting develop bioinformatics webserver and database, PHP, perl programming for bioinformatics software tools, and sequence analysis. The job will require knowledge in interactive website development, PHP, MySQL database, attention to detail, dependability, and good communication and organization skills. Must be able to work in a group and work independently.

Salary range (per hour usually): $12/hr

Approximate hours per week: 10-20 hrs per week during this semester and then 30-40 per week during the summer.

Duration (semester, full year, etc): February – August (total 350 hours)
