Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for an Information & Telecomm Technology (ITT) Support Technician located at Columbus, Nebraska.

The intern must be enrolled in an accredited two year or four year college/university carrying a minimum of 12 semester units or 8 quarter unit with freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior standing in a related major and must maintain enrollment. The internship/training must be in the student’s field of study. College credit may apply to some internships.

Summary of Job Duties:
Work on Computer Hardware Retirement process (E-Waste). This would include booting computers, running DBAN to wipe hard drives, pull NPPD property tags, document hardware being retired, and preparing for pickup/disposal. Other work could also include basic trouble shooting computer hardware still in production, assisting users with some hardware or software problems and being utilized in the ITT Service Center.

Qualifications:
• Education and Training
o Applicant must be working toward an Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or Business.

• Prior Related Experience:
o No prior experience is required.
