The Omaha Area Math Teachers Circle met five times during the 2011-2012 academic year. The April event featured a "Fraction Frenzy" where teachers used pattern blocks to make sense of operations with fractions. In February, guest speaker Dr. Dana Ernst from Plymouth State University directed a series of activities titled "Permutation Puzzles." Omaha Math Teachers Circles incorporate a variety of relevant and interesting topics accessible to teachers from all grade levels.
