NCTM annual meeting attendees have the opportunity to pre-order NCTM's new book, "Catalyzing Change in High School Mathematics." Nebraska Assistant Professor of Mathematics Yvonne Lai contributed to the book's section on geometry.
Lai's work on this project was to provide an exposition of key ideas of geometry in the high school curriculum that will support teaching, teacher education, and professional development related to secondary geometry teaching.
Overall, this book endeavors to help teachers learn to identify and address some of the challenges to making high school mathematics and statistics work for each and every student. This highly anticipated book will be released at the 2018 Annual NCTM Meeting.
