Position description:
The award-winning Gering Citizen, a 14,000-circulation weekly covering the
Nebraska Panhandle, has an opening for a talented graphic artist committed to
clean design and copy. This is a full-time position.
The ideal candidate can use visuals to help tell a story, while also
conjuring up clever copy to lure readers. The candidate chosen will design
advertising and 1-3 pages of the paper, with further pagination opportunities
possible.
Required experience: Prior paginating experience is a plus but not required.
The right candidate is proficient in Quark and Photoshop or similar design
software such as InDesign, and a willingness to learn Quark.
