KHGI, in Kearney, Nebraska, has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Morning News Anchor/Producer. We are seeking a dynamic, personable, dedicated, and experienced anchor for our morning and noon newscasts. We are looking for a newsroom leader who is a strong writer, someone with a sharp wit, who is a self-starter and who can generate their own story ideas on a daily basis.
Job Duties:
-Produce daily content on a variety of platforms including on air, the internet and social networks
-Perform other duties as assigned by the news managers
-Ability to work under deadlines
Requirements:
Skills and Experience:
-College degree and at least 3 years’ experience anchoring
-Participate in community events throughout the DMA is required
-Ability to connect with the community on-air and online
-Exemplary communication skills
-Previous experience as an anchor and working in a team environment are a must
-Previous anchoring experience is required
