Extension Drought Response – Looking Forward

For many in Extension, the 2012 drought has been an area of substantial educational programming. In our efforts to look to the future, a team of 30 faculty is assembling on September 20 and 21 in Kearney to develop the plans for our educational program investments in the future.

We are offering Extension faculty and staff the opportunity to learn more about the outcomes of this discussion. The work groups meeting in Kearney will be providing an initial reporting of their proposed plans on Friday, September 21 at 10:30 AM Central Time. You may listen into these presentations by connecting to a phone conference call at 888-820-1398, Attendee Code: 6058218#.

The intent of this meeting is to lay the foundation for our investments and to develop a planning group structure that recognizes both the key subject areas investments as well as the regional needs for some issues. There will be ample opportunity for faculty and staff to become connected to these planning issues following the Kearney meeting.

We invite you to join us on Friday to learn more about the plans being assembled for our future Extension Drought Response and opportunities for faculty and staff to become involved.
