Undergrad, Grad Jazz Combos to perform on back-to-back nights

The Undergrad and Graduate Jazz Combos of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music will take to the Westbrook Recital Hall stage on back-to-back nights in November.

The Undergrad Jazz Combos will perform “Swing” on Wednesday, November 8 at 7:30 p.m. There will be four combos performing on the night and they will play tunes such as Beautiful Love by Victor Young, For Children of All Ages by Bobby Watson, Wild Flower by Wayne Shorter and Lazy Bird by John Coltrane.

The Graduate Jazz Combos will perform “Always for GK” on Thursday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m. There are two graduate combos performing and they will play such songs as Something New by Runkun Li, Joyous Celebration by Michael Kraft, For GK by Andrew Janak and Speak No Evil by Wayne Shorter, arranged by Li.
