International Affairs is recruiting volunteers for the IRS VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program for Spring semester. The program offers free tax preparation assistance to UNL international students and scholars. To volunteer, you do not have to be at every session or an entire session; you can sign up according to your availability at our training. Anyone can volunteer; you don’t have to be a math or statistics major. Each volunteer will need to be certified and receive an official IRS VITA Certificate (Even if you received the certificate in the past, you still have to be recertified again for this year).

All volunteers are required to attend the full 3 hour training in the City Campus Union (room to be posted) on Thursday, Feb. 3, from 1 to 4pm. We appreciate your help!

Tax assistance sessions are scheduled as below:
March 1 and 8, 2011 1:00 – 7:00pm Georgian Suite, City Union
March 15, 2011 1:00 – 7:00pm Colonial Room, City Union
