Celebrate A&S Fest April 4-8

Students in the College of Arts and Sciences are invited to celebrate A&S Fest April 4-8. Designed to appreciate students, the week's activities will include giveaways, entertainment, and a free movie showing at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center.

Students also can sign up to win gift certificates from SouthPointe Pavilions and local restaurants as well as prizes from the UNL Computer and Phone Shop, which will be raffled off on Thursday.

A&S Fest is sponsored by the Arts and Sciences’ Student Advisory Board (SAB).

The schedule of free events and locations:
* Monday, April 4 – College of Arts and Sciences’ T-shirts and pop giveaway (while supplies last) at the “Parenthesis” sculpture between Burnett and Andrews, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

* Tuesday, April 5 – free cookies, pop and live music at the red “Old Glory” sculpture between Hamilton Hall and Love Library, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

* Wednesday, April 6 – Free Colby Ridge popcorn at the “Parenthesis” sculpture between Burnett and Andrews. 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Students also are invited to a free showing of “Toy Story 3” at the Ross, 313 N. 13th St., at 9 p.m.

* Thursday, April 7: Free juice, coffee and donuts at the west entrance of Oldfather Hall, 9 a.m.-11 a.m.

* Friday, April 8: The Arts and Sciences’ Dean’s Scholars Society will give away root beer floats at the “Parenthesis” sculpture between Burnett and Andrews, 12-2 p.m.
