Meet with the Wellness Services team each Friday for small group 5k training. All participants receive a weekly email with walking/running tips and “homework”. Workouts include warm-up, cool-down, and weekly education. There are three levels of training with 2 coaches/training group:
Level 1: Walk-to-joggers
Level 2: Jog-to-runners
Level 3: Runners able to run a 5k, but looking to improve time.
Individuals will self-select into groups. Training sessions are at 7 a.m. each Friday from Sept. 5 to Oct. 3 outside the main entrance of the City Rec Center.
