Go rock climbing, cycling during fall break with UNL Outdoor Adventures

UNL Outdoor Adventures is offering two trips during fall break Oct 15-19. Choose between rock climbing at Sam's Throne in the Ozark National Forest in Arkansas or biking the Katy Trail in central Missouri. Sign-up deadline is Oct 1. Sam�s Throne, Oct. 15-19
Located in the Ozark Highlands, Sam's Throne is one of the premier climbing destinations in the South. The area is known for its high quality, highly featured sandstone found along the exposed cliff lines of the high Ozark Plateau. The climbing is varied and offers challenges for new climbers and veterans alike. Fall break is the perfect time to visit the Ozarks as temperatures are mild, crowds low and fall colors are exploding throughout the region.

This trip includes transportation to and from Sam�s Throne in Arkansas, food at activity site, climbing and camping gear, trip leaders, camping fees and permits and trip insurance. Prices are $275 per UNL student or CREC member and $295 per person in the general public.

Katy Trail Bike Tour, Oct. 15-18
Join this three-day tour of Missouri on the Katy Trail, one of the nation's premier rail-to-trail conversion projects. Over these three days, follow Lewis and Clark's route up the Missouri River, riding under bluffs and the changing colors of the fall leaves. This promises to be a trip to remember with great campsites, hearty meals and pedaling along this tranquil crushed limestone route through the scenic countryside and quaint communities of central Missouri.
