The Nebraska Women’s Leadership Network is gearing up for an eventful fall conference Oct. 5 – 6 focused on “Storytelling and Leaving Your Mark on the World.”
The innovative founders of theSkimm, Danielle Weisberg and Carly Zakin, are the keynote speakers for the NWLN fall conference. These successful entrepreneurs combined their expertise as NBC news producers and founded theSkimm, a news source providing the scoop on current events or breaking news in quick, witty bites. They aimed to make getting the news easier and less time consuming, and they’ve succeeded.
For the first time, NWLN non-members are also invited to attend the keynote session. If you are not a member of the Nebraska Women’s Leadership Network but would like to attend this special keynote session on Friday Oct. 6 at 10 a.m., please register at huskeralum.org/NWLN-Keynote.

The registration deadline for the Conference is Oct. 1. Students and alumnae can learn more about NWLN and apply online at huskeralum.org/NWLN-apply.

NWLN, a program of the Nebraska Alumni Association, offers UNL alumnae and female students opportunities for professional growth, leadership development and mentoring. NWLN was created in 1999 to promote the growth and education of women and to create a nationwide network of female leaders with ties to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Every fall and spring, alumna members return to campus to network with each other and connect with UNL students.

Arrangements for the appearance of theSkimm made through Greater Talent Network, Inc., New York, NY.
