Update those calendars: Chancellor Harvey Perlman will deliver his 15th State of the University address on Oct. 2. The speech, originally scheduled for Sept. 16, will begin at 11 a.m. at the Lied Center for Performing Arts. The date was changed due to a scheduling conflict.

The address, which is open to faculty, staff, students and the public, traditionally outlines university priorities for the coming year while addressing major accomplishments during the previous academic year.

Faculty and staff being honored for service milestones will be recognized during the annual employee service award recognition program beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Lied Center, and a picnic outside the Lied Center will follow the address.
