Throughout the fall 2014 semester, SNR is offering a series of professional development seminars for students. The series takes place each Friday from 12-12:50 p.m. (excluding Oct. 17, Oct. 24) in Hardin Hall (room 163) through Nov. 14.

The next seminar is Oct. 10 and will feature Larkin Powell, SNR professor, who will discuss effective research poster design and appropriate content for award-winning posters, regardless of discipline. We'll also share tips on effective networking and communicating during a poster session. All students are invited and welcome to attend!

Do you have an interest in working for yourself or running your own business? The College of Business Administration is offering a new accelerated graduate degree in business for students who do not have a business background. The Master of Arts in business administration program is designed to be completed in 11 months. It is a full-time, on-campus program that combines core business classes with valuable internship experience. This graduate degree would nicely complement the undergraduate education provided by the School of Natural Resources.

A representative from the College of Business will be in the Hardin Hall lobby from noon-2 p.m., Oct. 9 to meet with students about this exciting new opportunity!
