Ruopu Li, adjunct assistant professor, will present "Exploring Land Availability for Bioenergy Crops and its Related Modeling Practices" at 2 p.m., Oct. 10 in 228 Hardin Hall. The seminar is free and open to the public.
Li an adjunct assistant professor in UNL's School of Natural Resources, where he teaches courses on advanced geographic information systems. He received his Ph.D. in natural resource sciences with a specialty in geographic information sciences from UNL. His research interests include land use change modeling with particular interests in land availability for biofuel crops, groundwater quantity and quality modeling, LiDAR-based hydrologic modeling and climate change impact analysis. Li currently works as a researcher at the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources.
