Financial interest and outside activity reporting for researchers and other university employees will be done through an updated and improved NUgrant module starting July 16.

A number of help sessions to include on-site completion of the Interest and Outside Activity Reporting Form (IOARF) through the NUgrant module will be offered by Research Compliance Services. Help sessions are Monday through Friday, July 16-31.

For a complete schedule or to register, go to http://go.unl.edu/dk0.

The Interest and Activity Management module will bring UNL into compliance with recent changes in Public Health Service regulations and is consistent with University of Nebraska Board of Regents policy. New requirements for PHS-funded research include conflict of interest training to be completed every four years and disclosure of some sponsored travel, both of which can be completed via the NUgrant module.

The new module also incorporates electronic reporting and approval of employees’ outside professional activities, such as consulting.

Additional information is available at http://go.unl.edu/mwp.

For questions or help completing your IOARF, contact Maria Funk, conflict of interest coordinator, at mfunk2@unl.edu or 402-472-1837.
